Deck season has started! Make sure you’re up to date on the 2009 and 2012 International Residential Code® (IRC) provisions for deck ledger materials and connections! This 2-hour webinar will also address the significant changes to the American Wood Council’s DCA 6 Prescriptive Residential Deck Construction Guide, which was recently updated to include guidance on provisions in the 2012 IRC®.

Buddy Showalter, P.E. and Vice President of Technology Transfer, has worked at the American Wood Council since 1992 and oversees the publications, website, helpdesk, education and other technical media. He is also a member of the editorial boards for Wood Design Focus and STRUCTURE magazine.

Glenn Mathewson, a plans analyst and inspector for the City of Westminster, CO, is an ICC-Certified Master Code Professional and author of Deck Construction Based on the 2009 IRC. He is also president of www.BuildingCodeCollege.com. Glenn is the provider of the Master Deck Professional Certification Code 4-part series for NADRA.org.
