ICC Foundation Code of Honor Scholarship Opens
Monday, July 12, for Group B

ICC FoundationThe ICC Foundation Code of Honor (COH) Scholarship will open the application database for the Group B Final Action Hearings in Charlotte, N.C., October 24 –31 at 10 a.m. EST on Monday, July 12, and remain open until 5 p.m. EST on Friday, July 30.

Individuals who applied for Group A Hearings and were not selected are encouraged to reapply for Group B Hearings. Based on feedback from Group A, the ICC Board of Directors and ICC Foundation has renamed the former “Chapter Match/First Time Attendee” scholarship to the “Match Scholarship” to increase participation in the Final Action Hearings. The Match Scholarship now accepts a $1 to $1 matching contribution for all attendees from the Chapter, jurisdiction or personal funds. Accordingly the Match Scholarship also removes the First Time Attendee requirement. All other scholarship requirements remain the same.

Please remember the entire application process is online and only completed applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis, so it is critical to apply as early as possible.

Prior to applying, applicants should have the following documentation:

1. Number of years employed as a code official.
2. Approximate size of the jurisdiction where employed.
3. Age (in years) of building department where employed.
4. List of ICC Certificates, ICC Designations and Professional Awards, if any.
5. List of ICC committee service—active or completed.
6. Number of community service hours donated via Code Officials Volunteer CORPS.
7. Number of Past ICC Final Action Hearings attended, if any.
8. Verification, if applicable, of chapter’s willingness to provide a match (chapter name, chapter president’s name and contact information).
