If you participated in the Code Officials Volunteer CORPS' (COVC) Day of Service during Building Safety Week—with your chapter or on your own—log on to www.icc-foundation.org to submit your volunteer hours. The goal of the volunteer challenge is to reach 250,000 hours before the Code Council's 2009 Annual Conference, November 1-4, in Baltimore. Participate and receive a variety of gifts ranging from t-shirts and hats to clipboards and pens.
The COVC program recognizes, celebrates and supports volunteer service by Code Council members and staff. The process is simple. Sign up using your email and Code Council Chapter name (Note: You must belong to an accredited Council Chapter to participate). Discover new and innovative ways to volunteer. Track your progress and your chapter's overall progress. Check back often to see how you and your chapter are comparing against the rest of the membership.
