What Great Teachers

The International Code Council’s Training and Education Department has established a new program to recognize instructors who consistently perform above and beyond expectations while delivering training for the Code Council. Individuals are recognized as Instructors of the Month based on how well they perform as subject matter experts, the amount of training they teach that particular month, and how effectively they serve the needs of their classes and the Code Council. Monthly honorees are eligible for the annual Instructor of the Year Award.

To date, the Instructors of the Month are:

January—Russell Thornburg, Owatonna, Minnesota
February—Roxanne Michael, Bellingham, Washington
March—Dilip Khatri, Pasadena, California
April—William Bracken, Tampa, Florida
May—Doug Thornburg, Wichita, Kansas
June—Sam Dardano, Lakewood, Colorado
July—Jerry Flanik, Lake County, Ohio

To nominate an instructor for Instructor of the Month, send your recommendation to Manager of Instructor Quality Chuck Atkinson by the 15th of each month. Please include the specific reason you are nominating the instructor.
