Avolve Software, developers of ProjectDox(R) communication and collaboration software, announced today that the State of Idaho will deploy the company's ProjectDox ePlan solution as part of its CAS statewide citizen services initiative. Through its Division of Building Safety, Idaho becomes the first state in the U.S. to implement a statewide ePlan service program to citizens and multiple state agencies.

ProjectDox will enhance the CAS program by allowing the State to offer web-based electronic file submission and review to citizens, architects and developers who depend upon the Division of Building Safety for code-compliance review of construction and engineering plans. Key benefits include expedited plan approval and reductions in paper use, printing costs, storage costs, deforestation, drive time, gasoline consumption, and greenhouse gas emissions.

"We're proud to be the first in the nation to officially endorse and commence the implementation of an end-to-end electronic, automated plan submission and review system statewide," said C. Kelly Pearce, Administrator of the Division of Building Safety. "The expansion of CAS with ePlan services represents another important step in our efforts to elevate customer service, preserve the environment and communicate more effectively with our customers and other governmental entities."

The Division of Building Safety envisions making its ePlan services available to other state agencies such as the State Fire Marshal and the Bureau of Homeland Security for the purposes of enhanced disaster response, mitigation and management.

"Implementing ePlan services within CAS at the state level demonstrates Idaho's forward-thinking and innovative approach to serving citizens and streamlining operations," said Ron Loback, President and CEO at Avolve Software. "It's a great honor to be selected and to engage in a program that is designed to exploit the full potential of our product with respect to a statewide user community and collaboration between multiple agencies."
