COCOA Celebrates BSW

The Grove City Building Division teamed up with the Central Ohio Code Officials Association (COCOA) to kick off Building Safety Week with a community event May 2 at the Home Depot in Grove City. Representatives of several local agencies also participated, providing information about topics such as fire safety, home repair programs and safe disposal of hazardous items. Following the event, a building safety display was exhibited at City Hall in Grove City for two weeks. The display contained a variety of information related to Building Safety Week, as well as examples of an electric panel, water meter and gas meter, and gas manifold labeled to help residents understand how they are operated.
