[Source: http://www.dailytidings.com | July 25, 2009] The Oregon Building Official Association recently honored the city's building official, Mike Broomfield, at its annual conference. Dave Frohnmayer, former president of the University of Oregon, presented Broomfield with the association's annual Outstanding Service award. Broomfield has worked for the city for more than 20 years. Krista Bolf, a Realtor at Coldwell Banker Pro West Ashland, has been named the 2009 Realtor of the Year by the Rogue Valley Association of Realtors. She was chosen because of her faithfulness to real estate regulations, her business accomplishments and her community involvement, according to a release. Bolf has been licensed to sell real estate in Oregon since 1994. She will serve as president of the Rogue Valley Association of Realtors in 2010. Ashland resident Jason Zook, an intern at OgdenRoemerWilkerson Architecture, which is based in Medford, won a Sustainable Leadership Award from Sustainable Living Programs, a local group affiliated with the National Sustainable Building Advisor Program. The award honors members of the community who are champions of the environment and active on sustainability issues, according to a release.
