Talking Building Safety in Vermont

Code Council CEO Rick Weiland, Board of Directors member Cindy Davis and Government Relations Vice President Dottie Harris recently attended the ICC Building Safety Association of Vermont's first annual meeting in Fairlee. Vermont was the last state in the U.S. to form a chapter. Richard Canuel, President of the New Hampshire Building Officials Association and a representative of the Eastern States Building Officials Federation, and Dick Lambert, Vice President of the Maine Building Officials & Inspectors Association and Secretary/Treasurer of Region 6, also attended the event. Weiland served as the keynote speaker during the luncheon and presented the chapter plaque. Davis swore in the new chapter officers and Board members. They were joined by Harris, Canuel and Lambert in a panel discussion, "Lessons Learned by Our Neighbors."
