Certification Renewal–Now Available Online

The Code Council is offering a new online renewal service for most certification categories, including:

Residential
Commercial
Plans Examiners
Code Enforcement
Fire
Energy Inspector/Plans Examiner
General Inspection
Code Official
Legacy (except 65, 69, 85 and X4 categories)

Online renewal is not yet available for Code Enforcement Categories DR and C1, Special Inspectors, UST categories or NAFED exams.

Quick and easy to use, the new online process enables users to keep track of Continuing Education Units and then apply them during the renewal process. An individual's personal information is secured through password protection and encryption. Upon successful completion of the renewal process, individuals will receive immediate confirmation that their certification is renewed. A tutorial answers questions and demonstrates how the process works.

The online renewal process supports ICC's continuing efforts to be "green." The new process means less paperwork and quicker processing of renewals.
