IAS Offers ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System Workshop
Get up to speed on ISO 9001:2008, a long-established general management standard, in the Quality Management System Workshop, presented by the International Accreditation Service (IAS) on August 16-18, 2010, in Southern California.

ISO 9001:2008 is the latest revision of the standard. The standard has broad applicability for manufacturers and service organizations and provides the basis for other, similar registration standards.

Valuable insights and tools for your staff to help them implement the requirements of this standard will be offered. There will be special emphasis placed on topics such as internal audits, management review, customer feedback and complaint handling processes, corrective actions, preventive actions, training, and other related topics.

Who Should Attend: The course targets business professionals, administrative support staff, quality managers, inspectors, and others who desire to gain an understanding of this standard or to simply refresh their knowledge.

IAS Offers ISO/IES 17025 Measurement Uncertainty Training
The International Accreditation Service (IAS) is offering a two-day training program designed to provide a complete overview of the ISO/IEC 17025 requirements concerning Measurement Uncertainty (MU). The program offers its participants an initial step to understanding the accreditation requirements of ISO/IEC 17025 as applicable to MU calculations. Also covered in the program are measurement processes and the concepts of effectively estimating and controlling MU. While the program material is largely derivative of case studies and examples, the statistical component is emphasized through practical examples. The program includes numerous discussions and exercises and requires an understanding of basic mathematical concepts.

Who Should Attend: Laboratory managers, metrology managers, quality managers, process, product, design and test engineers, calibration personnel, test personnel, and those who wish to gain an understanding of calculating measurement uncertainty will find this program beneficial and an invaluable tool to decision making.
