Building Safety Month DVD Featuring Danny Lipford Available to First 100 Members or Chapters
The ICC Foundation is offering free DVDs of the new Building Safety Month public service announcement starring Danny Lipford (right) to the first 100 members or chapters who request them.

In the PSA, Lipford, host and executive producer of the nationally syndicated television show "Today's Homeowner with Danny Lipford," delivers an inspiring message about the critical role of code officials and building codes in general. Additionally, downloadable versions will be available after April 5 at www.buildingsafetymonth.org. The new PSA is licensed for use at any television station.

Code of Honor Scholarship Winners Announced This Month

The ICC Foundation Code of Honor (COH) application database opened March 5-26 to an overwhelming response. All applications are now processed and winners will be announced later this month.

The Code of Honor scholarship program helps ensure that the International Codes continue to reflect the consensus view of officials at all levels of government by providing funding to ICC governmental voting representatives seeking to attend Final Action Hearings. Scholarship categories vary from Emerging Leader to Veteran Leader and include a dedicated "First-time Attendee" award category.

The first round of 2010 scholars will receive support to attend the 2010 Final Action Hearings May 14-23 in Dallas. The application database will reopen later this summer for those applying for scholarships to attend the second round of code hearings October 28-November 1 in Charlotte.
