ICC to Launch New Codes & Standards Discussion Forum
The International Code Council will be launching the Codes & Standards Discussion Forum. This new area of ICC's website will be centered around open discussion of the International Codes and standards, allowing industry professionals to share their ideas and knowledge with one another.

After hearing many comments from International Code Council Members and other users of the former ICC Bulletin Board, the Code Council used that feedback to redirect, revise and create a new online discussion forum. The new discussion forum will provide a professional experience that has a sense of community—where ICC Members and non-members can provide and exchange knowledge and ideas with their peers. It allows registered users and ICC Members to discuss the International Codes and related subjects in an online community.

The Code Council convened a focus group of stakeholders to hear ideas and brainstorm a new discussion forum. The meeting allowed ICC staff to hear Members and non-members concerns and questions on the previous discussion board and the future direction.

Some of the ideas from the meeting were:
• A new discussion forum that is open and viewed by all visitors to www.iccsafe.org.
• An overall cleaner, quicker and more user-friendly Discussion Forum.
• Clear discussion topics within the forum.
• How the forum should be moderated.
• How to share information.

The Council continues to move forward in the creation of the new Codes & Standards Discussion Forum and hopes these changes to the website will help you professionally.

The Codes & Standards Discussion Forum will be broken up into two areas. ICC Members will have an area to discuss their Membership and the ICC Membership Councils. There also will be an open area of discussion where all registered website users can participate.

Non-member Area
