Code Administrators Association of Kentucky Hosts Annual Meeting

The Code Administrators Association of Kentucky (CAAK) hosted its Fall Education Conference October 16-19, 2011, in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The conference featured three days of education, annual business meeting, and installation of officers. The Mayor of Bowling Green Green, Kentucky, and the Kentucky Secretary of State were the featured speakers during the annual business meeting. Code Council Board Member Alex "Cash" Olszowy was in attendance and serves as the Past President of CAAK. Corey M. Roblee, Senior Regional Manager, ICC Government Relations, also was in attendance. Cumberland Region Code Officials Chapter Meeting

Mel Cosgrove, Senior Regional Manager, State and Local Government Relations for the International Code Council (at podium), swore in the new officers of the Cumberland Region Code Officials Chapter in Millersville, Tennessee. Cosgrove was also the keynote speaker and he presented new Chapter President Mike Bauer with his ICC President pin, and presented the Past Presidents pin to Karen Smith and congratulated her on a job well done.

Ohio Building Officials Association Celebrates 50 Years

The Ohio Building Officials Association (OBOA) was honored for 50 years of being a Chapter. Code Council Senior Regional Manager of Government Relations Corey M. Roblee presented a plaque to OBOA President Guy Fursdon during their December Board Meeting.

Code Officials Conference of Michigan Hosts Fall Conference

The Code Officials Conference of Michigan (COCM) hosted its Fall Conference at the Crystal Mountain Resort in Thompsonville, Michigan. Code Council Board Member Patrick Parsley, Code Council Vice President of State and Local Government Relations Dottie Harris, and Senior Regional Manager of Government Relations Corey M. Roblee were in attendance. Parsley addressed the Membership as the Keynote Speaker during the Annual Banquet and installed the newly elected officers immediately following. Parsley also presented a Past Presidents Certificate to outgoing President Gerry McCallum. Central Ohio Code Officials Association Board of Directors Meeting

In May of 2011, representatives from the Central Ohio Code Officials Association (COCOA) joined other building code officials at the Statehouse to be recognized for Building Safety Month. Members met with their district legislators and discussed the building code industry. Later, the code officials were recognized on the Senate floor and received a Proclamation for Building Safety Month.
