| Sanchez Presented 2011 Elected Official of the Year Award |

| International Code Council Government Relations Regional Manager David Nichols presented State Senator Bernadette Sanchez with the 2011 Elected Official of the Year Award during a luncheon with New Mexico Council of Code Officials (NMCCO) Chapter leaders in Albuquerque. Nichols presented the ICC award certificate and plaque, and expressed the organization's gratitude for her outstanding support for the municipal inspectors, local building departments and ICC Chapters in New Mexico. Senator Sanchez was very appreciative of the recognition and award from ICC, and stated that she will continue to support the effort to improve building code administration in New Mexico. | The Monroe County Fire Marshals Chapter held its December meeting and holiday luncheon on December 21 at Rick's Prime Rib House in Rochester, New York. | Western Regional Work Group of the Fire Code Action Committee Conducts Public Work Session |

| The Western Regional Work Group of the Fire Code Action Committee (pictured above) conducted a two-day public work session October 5-6 at the City of Las Vegas Emergency Operations Center to develop Group A Code Change Proposals on topics/sections as assigned by the Fire Code Action Committee. The work group session was very productive with the resulting proposals being complimented by the attendance and participation of additional interested parties. The City of Las Vegas Fire & Rescue hosted the meeting. |
| Colorado Chapter Holds 58th Annual Business Meeting |
 The Colorado Chapter of ICC conducted its 58th Annual Business Meeting December 8-9 at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs. Chapter Members attending elected new Officers who were subsequently installed by International Code Council Vice President of Membership Karla Higgs at the Annual Dinner Banquet held December 8. | UAPMO Holds 50th Annual Education Seminar and Business Meeting |
 The Utah Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (UAPMO) Chapter celebrated its 50th Anniversary November 15-19, 2011, in St. George, Utah. New Chapter officers were elected at the Annual Business Meeting conducted on November 16, and were installed at the Chapter's Banquet held the next evening. The Chapter received a special Plaque from ICC recognizing this important milestone in UAPMO's long history of PMG training conducted in Utah. Code Council CEO Rick Weiland (right) congratulated Doug Hoese (left) for his service as 2011 President of the 10,000 Lakes Chapter of ICC during its annual meeting in Shoreview, Minnesota. 10,000 Lakes is the largest building officials chapter in Minnesota. Rick also acknowledged the 2012 Chapter officers: President Tom Bakken, Hastings, Minnesota; VP James Williamette, New Brighton, Minnesota; Secretary Chris Faste, University of Minnesota; and Treasurer Ken Staloch, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
