New Look for ICC Foundation's Website
New look provides improved access to important information and tools.

You may have noticed a new look to the Foundation's website, www.icc-foundation.org. This new look is designed to provide improved access to important information and tools. On the new home page, you will find the three focus areas of the Foundation's Strategic Plan, front and center. These three areas include Consumer Education: Building Safety Month; Professional Development: Code of Honor Scholarship Program; and Community Service: Code Officials Volunteer Corps.

Within the new Foundation website, you will find all the necessary tools to have a successful Building Safety Month, including the new Building Safety Month Campaign toolkit. The toolkit includes the Step-by-step Guide to Hosting a Successful Campaign, sample media tools, a "how-to" guide for securing a proclamation, ideas for local demonstrations and community education events, and CODiE and CODEtte materials for building safety presentations at your local school. New and exciting video tips are also available for planning your events. The components of the BSM toolkit are available for download on the website or you may link to the ICC Bookstore to purchase the complete kit.

The Professional Development area provides information on the Code of Honor Scholarship Program. Delegates will find links to the scholarship application for travel reimbursements to attend the Annual Conference and scholarship guidelines.

The Community Outreach area provides a link to the Code Council Volunteer Corps site where you can report your Chapter's volunteer hours spent in your community. Don't forget to visit this site and report the hours spent on Building Safety Month events!

Building Safety Month Involvement
Building Safety Month is just around the corner and there are some quick and easy ways to join the conversation and get involved. First, go to the "I-Support" tab and complete the information. Encourage everyone in your department to join the campaign to support Building Safety Month. Then, post ideas for Building Safety Month 2012 and photos from last year's events on the Building Safety Month Facebook page, or send them to the Foundation team for sharing through ICC eNews and Building Safety Month special updates.
