cdpACCESS Progress Continues

Development has continued on cdpACCESS, the International Code Council's web-based platform that will provide the technological foundation for the future of code development. The cdpACCESS Steering Committee was recently reappointed to guide the development and testing phases to ensure that the intiative will meet its goal of increasing member and stakeholder participation in code development while preserving the governmental consensus process. Several important milestones will be ready for member participation in the coming months:

• An interactive webinar will showcase the functionality of cdpACCESS. Join ICC President Ron Piester on Wednesday, August 28 at 11 a.m. CT for a walkthrough of the capabilities of cdpACCESS. Participants will see how to submit a code change proposal, discuss it online with colleagues and track its progress through the voting cycles.
• Participate in a hands-on demonstration of cdpACCESS at the 2013 Annual Conference in Atlantic City, which will include a test of the voting process.
• Look for a video series this fall highlighting cdpACCESS features and procedures.

ICC plans to launch cdpACCESS on November 15. Review how cdpACCESS will support ICC's code development process.
