Increased Housing Demand Set to Spur Job Growth in Construction Industry
Increasing demand across the country for new home construction could see the construction industry add 500,000 jobs this year and 700,000 in 2014, according to Bloomberg News. The reason for the increased demand for people in the industry is a direct result of the rebound in home construction. The National Association of Homebuilders estimates that three jobs are created for every single-family home that is built. Moody's Analytics is also projecting that increased demand for housing will result in almost 1.2 million homes being built in 2013. Continue reading story |
