ICC/SDO Reference Standards Forum Scheduled for Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

The annual meeting between the Code Council and the Standard Developing Organizations (SDOs) responsible for referenced standards included in the International Codes is scheduled for Feb. 19 at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina. The agenda is currently being developed and topics will include the 2014 Code Development Cycle and the implementation of cdpACCESS; the 2015–2017 Code Development Cycle; Industry Advisory Committee recommendations for updating currently referenced standards; and areas of mutual interest to ICC and SDOs regarding construction codes and standards.

IS-COMSC Committee Holding First Meeting in Chicago

The first meeting of the ICC Consensus Committee on Commissioning will be held Jan. 30–31 at the Four Points Sheraton Chicago O'Hare. The purposes for this meeting are for committee members to elect a chair and vice-chair, discuss the standard scope, and create necessary work groups to begin the development of the standard. The ICC (ASC) A117.1 Consensus Committee on Accessible and Usable Buildings and Facilities held its third meeting earlier this month at the U.S. Access Board office in Washington, D.C. Committee members considered public comments to the First Public Review Draft of the 2015 edition of the Accessible and Usable Buildings and Facilities Standards. Read more.
