CODE UPDATE | Significant Code Changes to the 2012 International Building Code
(The information below is excerpted from the Significant Changes to the 2012 International Codes series.)
The types of special inspection required for anchors cast in concrete and post installed anchors in hardened concrete have been clarified. Because it is sufficient for special inspectors to be present intermittently during installation of the cast-in-place anchors, the code now allows cast-in-place anchors to have periodic special inspection.
