 San Diego County Fire Prevention Officers Chapter MeetingInternational Code Council staff was on hand to congratulate the San Diego County Fire Prevention Officers Association's new officers on July 16.  Liberty Chapter of Philadelphia Presents Award during Building Safety Month BanquetAt its Annual Building Safety Month Banquet, the Liberty Chapter of Philadelphia presented its Liberty Award to Mike Maenner, Deputy Commissioner of Philadelphia's Department of Licenses and Inspections. The Liberty Award is presented annually to an individual or organization who is widely recognized by their peers in the area of building safety. Mike was awarded this honor for improving the quality and safety of the built environment for individuals living in and visiting the city of Philadelphia over his career. He has fostered professional cooperation between code officials, design professionals, contractors and a broad variety of other associated trades and disciplines. Maenner also was presented with a certificate from the International Code Council and the International Accreditation Service (IAS) for his leadership and service as Chairman of the International Code Council Global Membership Council and dedication to achieving the IAS Building Department Accreditation for the city of Philadelphia. Mike also serves on ICC's Major Jurisdiction Committee.
