| ICC 2014 Annual Conference Focuses on Training, Certification, Code Development The International Code Council 2014 Annual Conference, Public Comment Hearings and Expo will include the final step to develop the 2015 International Green Construction Code along with training and certification test-taking for code and fire officials, inspectors, architects, structural engineers, contractors, builders and other professionals in the construction industry. The Conference, Hearings and Expo will be held at the Greater Fort Lauderdale Broward County (Fla.) Convention Center located at the Fort Lauderdale Cruise Port. Online registration discounts, www.iccsafe.org/ord, are available until Aug. 15. ICC non-members who purchase a full conference registration will receive a free, one-year "Building Safety Professional" ICC Membership. |

Fowler Memorial Motorcycle Ride Rumbling to the Florida Keys The 11th Annual Bob Fowler Memorial Motorcycle Ride will be held Sept. 27-28 prior to the start of the 2014 ICC Annual Conference, Group C Public Comment Hearings and Expo. Participants will ride to the Florida Keys from Fort Lauderdale, traveling along the edge of the Everglades into Key Biscayne, Key Largo, Marathon Key, and over the Seven Mile Bridge into Key West. Let's Go Fishing in Fort Lauderdale! The Broward County Building Officials, South Florida Building Officials Association and the Building Officials Association of Palm Beach County are sponsoring a deep-sea fishing trip in conjunction with the 2014 ICC Annual Conference, Group C Public Comment Hearings and Expo Sept. 28-Oct. 5 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Anglers will board the Flamingo 801 Seabees on Sept. 28 at 7 a.m. Cost is $50 per person and includes tackle, bait, food and soft drinks. Please register by Aug. 10.
