The International Code Council is seeking volunteers to serve on Code Committees, the Code Correlation Committee and Code Interpretation Committees for the 2015-2017 Code Development Cycle. | NAHB Updating ICC 700 to 2015 Edition; Issues Call for Committee The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB)—the International Code Council's partner in the development of ICC 700 National Green Building Standard—is initiating the process to update ICC 700 from the current 2012 edition to the 2015 edition. As part of the process, they have issued a Call for Committee with applications due March 16, 2014. As the promulgator of the standard, NAHB will be responsible for appointing committee members. | ICC/SDO Reference Standards Forum Scheduled for Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The annual meeting between the Code Council and the Standard Developing Organizations (SDOs) responsible for referenced standards included in the International Codes is scheduled for Feb. 19 at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina. The agenda is currently being developed and topics will include the 2014 Code Development Cycle and the implementation of cdpACCESS; the 2015–2017 Code Development Cycle; Industry Advisory Committee recommendations for updating currently referenced standards; and areas of mutual interest to ICC and SDOs regarding construction codes and standards. IS-COMSC Committee Holds First Meeting in Chicago The first meeting of the ICC Consensus Committee on Commissioning was held Jan. 30–31 at the Four Points Sheraton Chicago O'Hare. The purposes for this meeting was for committee members to elect a chair and vice-chair, discuss the standard scope, and create necessary work groups to begin the development of the standard.
