Get Training from the ICC Preferred Provider Network

Check out all the training options offered through ICC's Preferred Provider Program and plan your training for 2015! You can easily access information about educational offerings and other services of Preferred Providers through the online listing of available onsite and online educational courses. Users can earn ICC CEUs from Preferred Providers, which can be applied toward ICC's certification renewal requirements. Beginning in 2015, 20 percent of the CEUs required for certification renewal must be earned from training by ICC or an ICC's Preferred Provider. As the Preferred Provider Program continues to expand, beginning in July 2016 50 percent of CEUs will then be required through the PPP. View the new certification renewal provisions, which were announced in April. View the FAQs about the changes to the recertification program.

Courses will be continually added as more education providers join the program. Providers may apply to join the program at any time. Reach ICC's broad audience of members, certified individuals and chapters who rely on quality training. To learn more about the program, visit the Preferred Provider website, and review the Program manual and FAQs.

Exam Development Committee Perform 2015 I-Code Updates on Certification Exams

The Mechanical and Plumbing exam development committees (EDC) for the Code Council's Certification program recently met in ICC's Birmingham office to update exams to the 2015 International Codes and perform regular maintenance on the exams. On behalf of certification candidates, ICC thanks these dedicated individuals who contribute their time and expertise to strengthen ICC's Certification program.

EDC members were previously appointed by the Board for International Professional Standards (BIPs) and will now be appointment by the Professional Development Council. EDC members serve three-year terms and are selected based on their experience, education, certifications held, previous committee experience, and geographic location/municipality size, to ensure our committees are representative of our membership.
