Second Public Review Drafts Available for ICC A117.1-2015, ICC 900/SRCC 300-201 and ICC 901/SRCC 100-201

The ASC A117 Committee on Architectural Features and Site Design of Public Buildings and Residential Structures for Persons with Disabilities is accepting public comments on the Second Public Review Draft of ICC A117.1-2015 Accessible and Usable Buildings and Facilities. The deadline is Dec. 22.

The ICC Solar Thermal Standard Consensus Committee is accepting public comments on the Second Public Review Drafts of ICC 900/SRCC 300-201 Solar Thermal Systems Standard and ICC 901/SRCC 100-201 Solar Thermal Collector Standard. The deadline for both is Dec. 29.

ICC 2015/2016/2017 Code Development Cycle Begins

Work is well underway on ICC's 2015/2016/2017 Code Development Cycle that begins with the Group A International Codes. This will be the first full cycle that utilizes cdpACCESS, ICC's new cloud-based system that allows for online collaboration, code change and public comment submittals, submission of floor modifications, and online voting. A change to section 3.3.5.6 of Code Council Policy 28 also is new to this cycle that addresses cost impacts of code change proposals. Group C Code Development Cycle Results Available

The Final Action on the 2014 Proposed Changes to the International Green Construction Code (IgCC) is now available. The Validation Committee certified the results in accordance with Section 10.1 of CP 28 Code Development. The Summary Report includes items considered at the Public Comment Hearings in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Oct. 1-3, followed by the first-ever Online Governmental Consensus Vote (OGCV) held Oct. 17-31. Approved changes from the 2014 Code Development Cycle will be published in the 2015 IgCC. See page 5 of the report for the OGCV results.
