Be a Voice for Building Safety

Public awareness of the role of America’s First Preventers — the tens of thousands of code safety officials implementing the codes that protect people, property and health and reduce risks to First Responders when accidents occur — is more important than ever before. With that in mind‚ the Code Council has been working to bring attention to the dedicated professionals at work daily.

The Code Council applauds the grassroots support of the Community Building Code Administration Grant (CBCAG) Act by 80 ICC chapters, and encourages the remainder of its 300-plus chapters to support the important goal of increased safety.

“The Code Council remains committed to making sure you have the products‚ tools and resources to do your jobs and do them well‚” said Code Council CEO Rick Weiland. “We need your help at the local level to make sure that people are trained appropriately to ensure that the codes are being enforced.”

If you’re inclined to do so‚ and your jurisdiction will allow you, we ask you to be a part of this grassroots effort to enhance building safety.are encouraged to contact their Senators to seek support for this important legislation being considered by the Senate Banking Committee.
