Code Council Immediate Past President Steve Shapiro, Board member Ron Piester, and State and Local Government Relations North Vice President Dorothy Harris attended the New York State Building Officials Conference (NYSBOC) Annual Meeting on September 3-5 held in Lake Placid. The first NYSBOC-sponsored Code Council Certification paper/pencil exam was given during the meeting. Dorothy Harris‚ Vice President of State and Local Government Relations North for the International Code Council (fifth from right)‚ attended the Maine Building Officials & Inspectors Association (MBOIA) Fall Meeting on September 11 at Spring Meadows Country Club in Gray, Maine. All officers were re-elected for another term, which included President Timothy Nelson, Vice President Richard Lambert, Secretary Jodine Adams, Treasurer Barbara Skelton and Directors Paul Demers, Freeman Abbott, Jonathan Reed, Albert Farris, Dabney Lewis, Frank Tracy and Kathryn Joiner.
