Revisions were approved to revise the title of the criteria, to address the 2009 International Codes, to revise the requirements of Section 3.1.3 concerning documenting the properties of the gypsum sheathing used in the testing, to permit small-scale testing and analysis to establish pullout and pull-through strength values, and to revise the ASTM standards referenced in the AC for gypsum board.

4. AC217 — Acceptance Criteria for Concrete with Virgin Cellulose Fibers. Revisions were approved to address the 2009 International Codes and to revise Section A7.0 of Annex A to change the conditions of acceptance for the plastic shrinkage crack testing.

5. AC59 — Acceptance Criteria for Direct-applied Exterior Finish Systems (DEFS). Revisions are approved to allow the use of elastomeric-type direct-applied coating systems on exterior grade plywood substrates.

9. MISC 1 — Policy Concerning the Acceptance of Newer Editions of Design Specifications. The committee adopted the policy proposed by staff concerning newer editions of design standards (design specifications) and extended the policy to cover editions of material standards and test standards newer than those in the code that have gone through a consensus process.

10. AC118 — Acceptance Criteria for Tapping Screw Fasteners. Revisions were approved to update the criteria to the 2009 International Codes, to remove the Uniform Building Code (UBC) from the criteria and to make changes needed to correlate with AC43.

11. AC391 — Acceptance Criteria for Continuous Rod Tie-down Assemblies Used to Resist Wind Uplift. Revisions were approved to incorporate provisions that extend the criteria to allow evaluations to be performed on continuous rod tie-down systems which would include both the continuous rod tie-down assembly and the wood framing through which wind loads are transferred to the rods.

12. AC316 — Acceptance Criteria for Shrinkage Compensating Devices. Revisions we approved to simplify testing of the tension-controlled shrinkage compensating devices.

13. AC155 — Acceptance Criteria for Hold-down (Tie-downs) Attached to Wood Members. Revisions are approved to update the criteria to the 2009 International Codes and to correct contradictions and eliminate ambiguities within the current provisions.

16. AC233 — Acceptance Criteria for Alternate Dowel-type Threaded Fasteners. Revisions were approved to allow the sample size to be reduced in cases where a five percent precision of estimate at 95 percent confidence is achieved, to require fastener pull-through capacities be expressed in units of pounds rather than pounds per inch of side member thickness, and to add a requirement that the evaluation report state that the structural members at a connection must also be checked for their load carrying capacity.

17. AC166 — Acceptance Criteria for Metal Roof Coverings. Revisions are approved that set forth requirements for metal roof coverings used as a substitute for roof deck sheathing for the purpose of resisting lateral loads under the International Residential Code.
