Progress Report by ICC-ES President Shahin Moinian

As part of our commitment to respond to the needs of current and future ICC-ES customers while maintaining the quality and technical excellence, I would like to take a moment to share with you some of the initiatives that have been introduced during the past several months.

We recently announced that the city of Los Angeles Department of Building Safety now accepts ICC-ES Evaluation Reports for many product categories without requiring the city's own Research Reports.

We have implemented:

• A new expedited service that serves to directly meet the growing market entry needs of our applicants and clients.
• A "SIPs Lite" evaluation process to speed the issuance of reports for these products.
• An expanded photovoltaic rack and mount evaluation program.

We have also reviewed our evaluation process and made changes to remove redundant steps to move all evaluations more quickly from application to publication, and are in the process of implementing a new customer relations management system, allowing us to provide enhanced customer service.

And finally, we are proud to announce a new working partnership with APA—The Engineered Wood Association through which we can now offer joint reports for engineered wood products. This program is another example of our ability to partner with industry to bring innovative products to the marketplace in a safe and expeditious manner.

ICC-ES is committed to providing manufacturers with outstanding customer service while continuing to improve the speed of our operations. I welcome your comments on how we can better serve you and look forward to sharing future progress reports with you.

Warm regards,

Shahin Moinian
