ICC-ES expands Standards Council of Canada scope of accreditation to roof covering systems.

ICC Evaluation Service (ICC-ES) expanded its current scope of accreditation through the Standards Council of Canada to include evaluation of fire-classified roof covering systems to the provisions of the National Building Code of Canada and CAN/ULC-S107, "Methods of Fire Tests of Roof Coverings".

Alliance of Product Evaluation Experts formed.

As a result of ongoing collaboration, three leading global evaluation and certification bodies — the Centre Scientifique et Technique du Batiment, Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik and ICC-ES — further expanded their cooperation through the Alliance of Product Evaluation Experts in order to meet the needs of their joint clients.

ICC Evaluation Service had another successful year exhibiting at the International Roofing and Waterproofing Expo in Shanghai, China, receiving a number of new applications from manufacturers seeking ICC-ES' technical expertise for their membrane roof covering systems.

New building product listings issued to manufacturers.

ICC Evaluation Service issued 11 new listings, continuing its growth acceleration path under its Building Product Listing Program. ICC-ES Listings advance manufacturers' certification scope, indicating to code officials they are approved building products that meet the requirements of specific consensus standards referenced in building codes.

Roof Tech receives ESR-3575 for solar mounting system.

ICC Evaluation Service issued ESR-3575 to Roof Tech for its RT-[E] Mount Solar PV Mounting system with Integrated Butyl Tape, providing evidence they comply with code requirements of the 2015, 2012, 2009 and 2006 International Building Code and International Residential Code.

ICC Evaluation Service staff met with customers exhibiting at the Kitchen and Bath Expo in Shanghai, China, to discuss additional listings and future needs.

Chinese manufacturers continue to seek ICC-ES PMG expertise.

ICC Evaluation Service had another successful year exhibiting at the 21st Kitchen and Bath Expo in Shanghai, China, receiving a number of new listing applications from manufacturers seeking ICC-ES PMG expertise for their kitchen and bath product certification needs.

PMG-1313 issued to Linkplus for stainless steel pipes.

Linkplus Technologies USA, LLC introduced a line of quality stainless steel pipes that are now ICC-ES PMG certified for use in residential and commercial plumbing applications. This industry certification enables the company to actively market and distribute its product for use in the U.S. and Canada.

Look for ICC-ES Evaluation Reports to ensure proof of compliance to ICC 500-2014.

ICC Evaluation Service evaluates the design and construction criteria of storm shelters for high wind, hurricane and tornado requirements required by the following: a) ICC-500-2014: ICC/NSSA Standard for the Design and Construction of Storm Shelters b) FEMA P-320, Taking Shelter from the Storm: Building a Safe Room for Your Home or Small Business c) FEMA P-361, Safe Rooms for Tornadoes and Hurricanes: Guidance for Community and Residential Safe Rooms.

PMG Listing Committee seeks qualified individuals.

The ICC Evaluation Service (ICC-ES) is seeking to fill openings on the ICC-ES PMG Listing Committee, for the term starting November 1, 2016, with qualified individuals who will evaluate proposed listing criteria prepared by staff concerning PMG listing products. Applications will be accepted until August 31, 2016.
