ACES-Dubai Earns Top Honors

The Arab Center for Engineering Studies (ACES) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), was selected as the "Best Accredited Laboratory for 2007" by the Dubai Accreditation Center (DAC)—Dubai Municipality. ACES first earned ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory accreditation from the International Accreditation Service (IAS) in December 2007, enabling them to gain approval by the Dubai Municipality. IAS accreditation has also enabled the organization to better market its capabilities throughout the UAE.

The DAC Best Accredited Laboratory for 2007 award was presented to ACES during the special celebration on the International Accreditation Day organized by DAC on June 9.

The ACES laboratory in Doha, Qatar, is also accredited by IAS. The Qatar-based laboratory received ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation from IAS in 2007. Accreditation of other ACES facilities in Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi is also expected to occur this year.
