MU Training Programs Set for Las Vegas and Atlanta

The International Accreditation Service (IAS) has scheduled Uncertainty in Measurement training programs in Atlanta, Georgia, and Las Vegas, Nevada, to review ISO/IEC 17025 requirements concerning Measurement Uncertainty (MU) as well as new interpretations to ANSI/NCSL standard guidelines. Along with measurement processes and effective estimating and controlling MU concepts, the course will also include the first-ever practical laboratory module—an innovative, hands-on class that provides attendees with the tools to develop an accurate uncertainty budget.

The two-day course offers attendees a clear insight into the intricate aspects of the difficult subject—which happens to be at the heart of ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accreditation—through theoretical lectures, group discussions, hands-on practical work, mathematical evaluation of uncertainties and an examination at the end of the program.

The course will be taught by IAS staff metrologist, B. N. Taranath, former head of Precision Engineering, Central Manufacturing Technology Institute, and an acknowledged expert in the field of precision measurements and metrology.

The Uncertainty in Measurement training in Georgia, will be held September 11–12 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Lithonia, near Atlanta, Georgia. Click here to register.

The Uncertainty in Measurement training class in Las Vegas will be held September 18–19 at the Silverton Hotel Casino. Click here to register.
