The First and Only Accredited Training Curriculum for Annual Fire Door Inspection to NFPA 80-2007 Requirements

The International Fire Door Inspector Association (IFDIA), a trade association for fire door inspectors, has announced the launch of an accredited online curriculum for fire door inspector training.

More states are adopting the 2009 International Building Code and International Fire Code, which reference the NFPA 80 2007 Edition where the annual fire door inspection requirements can be found.

To enhance the rollout of the accredited training curriculum, the IFDIA is in the process of adding a classroom delivery option for those interested in a “face to face” learning environment. This will provide interested parties with choices in how they wish the training to be delivered, online or in person. This is very important in these tough economic times.

The IFDIA is extremely pleased to be working with the IAS who brings its expertise to the accreditation of IFDIA's training programs. The IFDIA decided to apply for IAS accreditation based on their excellent reputation with building departments and the leading listing/testing/labeling agencies of fire rated building products in the United States.
