IAS Offers ISO/IEC 17025 Measurement Uncertainty Training

The International Accreditation Service (IAS) is offering a two-day training program designed to provide a complete overview of the ISO/IEC 17025 requirements concerning Measurement Uncertainty (MU), September 13-14, in La Habra, California.

The program offers its participants an initial step to understanding the accreditation requirements of ISO/IEC 17025 as applicable to MU calculations. Also covered in the program are measurement processes and the concepts of effectively estimating and controlling MU. While the program material is largely derivative of case studies and examples, the statistical component is emphasized through practical examples. The program includes numerous discussions and exercises and requires an understanding of basic mathematical concepts.

Laboratory managers, metrology managers, quality managers, process, product, design and test engineers, calibration personnel, test personnel, and those who wish to gain an understanding of calculating measurement uncertainty will find this program beneficial and an invaluable tool to decision making.

Space is limited. For more information or to register, use the attached registration form, call (562) 699-0541, ext. 3723 or e-mail to alopez@iasonline.org.
