A two-day meeting took place July 22-23, at the Whittier offices of ICC/IAS. In cooperation with the Center for Public Safety Excellence (CPSE), IAS is developing the criteria for Fire Prevention and Life Safety Department Accreditation.
The Technical Advisory Council, composed of IAS President Chuck Ramani, ESCI President Ronny Coleman, CPSE Executive Director Paul Brooks, Bureau Chief of the Bureau of Fire Prevention for the State of Florida Jim Goodloe, Guilford County Emergency Services Director Alan Perdue, and City of Greensboro Assistant Chief/Fire Marshal David Douglas were in attendance along with IAS Program Manager Rick Archer and Program Coordinator Kellee Lostaunau.
The group discussed the development of the lead evaluator classroom program as well as related issues regarding the proposed criteria and associated workbook.
