In October, IAS President Chuck Ramani and IAS Quality Manager Preet Bassi met with Hussain Salem Al Katheeri, Secretary General of the Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council (QCC), in Abu Dhabi. QCC is a newly formed agency that has been given a governmental mandate to manage quality and conformity in such fields as public health, food, radioactive materials, construction and building, road constructions, activities and materials susceptible to fire, environment, and communications.
The purpose of the visit was to understand QCC's future plans and identify potential partnership opportunities. The visit was an exciting learning experience with a great sharing of knowledge and information between the parties involved.
