Training Provided on Accreditation Standard

Steve Lerman, IAS instructor and quality systems auditor, discusses a point with class participants.

Representatives from testing and calibration laboratories, inspection agencies and product certification agencies participated in an IAS training program October 4-6 at Southwest Inspection & Testing Inc. in La Habra, California, on ISO/IEC Standard 17025:2005.

This course provided a complete overview of the ISO/IEC Standard 17025:2005 requirements with special emphasis placed on topics such as internal audits, management review, proficiency testing, complaint-handling processes, corrective actions, preventive actions, training, measurement uncertainty and traceability. IAS provides regular training classes on the standard to support the needs of its accredited testing and calibration laboratories and to applicants preparing to go through the accreditation process. The training techniques and expertise of IAS instructor Steve Lerman has resulted in numerous complimentary comments from class participants who consistently rate Steve’s training classes very high on IAS feedback forms.
