IAS would like to thank William (Bill) Gregory for his dedication and contributions toward the goal of improving public safety as a member of the IAS Accreditation Committee from June 2003 to June 2011. Bill recently retired as Building Inspector from the Town of Yorktown, New York. In the past, Bill also served as Treasurer for the New York State Building Officials Conference. During his period of service as an IAS committee member, Bill played an instrumental role in the development of several new accreditation programs including the Building Department Accreditation and the Inspection Programs for Manufacturers of Metal Buildings.




IAS also extends its gratitude to Jim Goodloe for his service on the IAS/CPSE Technical Advisory Council (TAC) – Fire Prevention Departments. Jim is retiring as Chief of the Bureau of Fire Prevention, Florida Division of the State Fire Marshal. During Jim's time of service, the TAC helped to develop the accreditation criteria for the IAS Fire Prevention and Life Safety Department Accreditation Program AC 426. The TAC is appointed by the IAS Board of Directors and membership consists primarily of representatives of IAS accredited agencies, governmental regulatory organizations and independent technical experts. The council acts in an advisory capacity on matters regarding accreditation policies and protocol, conformity assessment, test procedures, calibration and other subjects related to IAS accreditation activities.
