IAS issues 800th accreditation.

The International Accreditation Service (IAS), an internationally recognized accreditation body and member of the ICC Family of Companies, issued its 800th accreditation on June 2. A pioneer in the accreditation profession, IAS actively develops new accreditation programs for organizations seeking to demonstrate the highest level of competence and service in their respective industries. IAS accreditation programs are based on recognized national and international standards that ensure domestic and/or global acceptance.

"IAS reached 500 accredited entities in April 2011, and in four short years we have crossed the 800 mark," said IAS President Chuck Ramani. "On behalf of our board and management team, I thank our staff, volunteer board, committee and council members, our contract staff and most importantly the loyal customers for helping us reach this important milestone."

"Congratulations to all for achieving such an outstanding milestone and historical accomplishment," said IAS Board of Directors Chair John Barrios. "It truly seems like yesterday that we celebrated the monumental 500 mark and here we are anticipating and expecting the 1,000th client in short order. This is a major achievement for IAS and ICC as the business and brand continues to grow throughout the world."

IAS accredits a wide range of companies and organizations, including governmental entities, commercial businesses and professional associations. Accreditation programs are available for building departments and building department service providers, special inspection agencies, inspection programs for metal building manufacturers, metal building assembler inspection programs, testing and calibration laboratories, product certification agencies, personnel certification bodies, management system certification bodies, inspection agencies, fabricator inspection programs, training agencies, curriculum developers, field evaluation bodies, fire prevention and life safety departments, commissioning training, and certification agencies.
