| Sandi McCracken, IAS program manager, and Greg West, IAS marketing manager, attended the Ohio Association of Building Officials (OABO) Annual Conference March 8-10 in Dublin, Ohio. West gave a presentation about the IAS Accreditation Criteria for Inspection Programs for Manufacturers of Metal Building Systems AC472 in the education program. The IAS AC472 program provides code officials with information needed to approve metal building systems based on requirements in Chapter 17 of the International Building Code. IAS also had a display booth to provide information about other IAS accreditation programs that are beneficial to building departments. Ohio is the third-largest market in the nation for the installation of metal building systems. Metal building systems are used for a variety of applications, including shopping centers, schools, churches, car dealerships and more. |
