The year 2016 will be remembered as the most successful growth year for the corporation. Our total accredited-entity count is pushing the 900 mark with several new applications pending. This remarkable achievement would not have happened without the whole hearted support of our staff, contract assessors and evaluators.

First and foremost, I want to thank our loyal clients, contractors and staff for going well above the call of duty to help us reach this very important milestone. The "Race to 1,000" now appears achievable by early 2018, which will truly be a major achievement in IAS history.

Given that a sizeable portion of our revenue is now from overseas clients, it is important that we appreciate the trust they have placed in IAS. In parts of the world that rely on petroleum resources for their national budget, we are committed to sharing some of their budget burdens by offering our services in a timely, cost-effective manner.

IAS staff has embraced the deep-rooted belief that success is not guaranteed, but something we need to earn, every day by hard work, integrity and empathy. Given the prevalent corporate culture, I'm confident that the IAS revenues will cross the $10 million mark within the next couple of years.

Given our increasing global operations, our priority in the next couple of months is to effectively launch our new interactive web portal, which should enhance our ability to transact business in a more effective manner. We are also enlarging our contract assessor pool to ensure adequate, strategically located resources to rapidly respond to our client requests.

As in the past, the volunteer members of the IAS Board of Directors under Chairman James Toscas, our Accreditation Committee and the seven technical councils have been working hard to guide the organization as it evolves from a mid-size accreditation body to a major player in the global accreditation community. I salute these volunteers for their years of dedicated service to IAS.

Also to be recognized are International Code Council Board of Directors President Dwayne Garriss, members of his board and the Code Council Chief Executive Officer Dominic Sims for their untiring support of IAS and the principles we stand for.

On behalf of the IAS staff and management, I have pleasure in wishing you a very healthy, safe and prosperous holiday season followed by a bright new year!
