Georgia and Region 8 celebrate Building Safety Month.
 
At a ceremony in the State Capitol, Gov. Nathan Deal signed a proclamation declaring May 2015 as Building Safety Month in Georgia. At a ceremony in the State Capitol, Gov. Nathan Deal signed a proclamation declaring May 2015 as Building Safety Month (BSM) in Georgia. ICC's Region 8 also issued a proclamation for the BSM campaign that reinforces the need for adoption of modern, model building codes; a strong and efficient system of code enforcement; and a well-trained, professional workforce to maintain the system. Region 8 consists of ICC Chapters in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
