Los Angeles Basin Chapter of ICC President Ron Takiguchi presented an award recognizing International Accreditation Service President C.P. (Chuck) Ramani for his longtime service to the building code profession during the Chapter's 2015 Annual Business Meeting and Banquet at the Museum of Flying in Los Angeles. IAS is part of the ICC Family of Companies and the leading accreditation body for building safety in the United States.

Ramani is the founding president of the IAS, a subsidiary of the International Code Council. IAS accredits building/code enforcement agencies, fire prevention bureaus, fabricators, special inspection agencies, testing laboratories, and conformity assessment organizations. He has worked for 43 years with IAS, ICC, and the legacy organization International Conference of Building Officials.

Ramani is a registered Civil and Quality Engineer with the state of California and former chair of the ASTM International E36 Subcommittee on Accreditation and Committee E5 on Fire. He has authored numerous articles and publications, and provides training on accreditation related topics.
