An ICC contingent, including Board of Directors President Alex Olszowy, Board Director and Region VI Director Robert Drexler, and Chief Executive Officer Dominic Sims, will lead a tour of Region VI, Aug. 6-12, that will include a town hall meeting at the University of Massachusetts Lowell and chapter stops in Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, New York and Rhode Island.
The town hall meeting will be held at the UMass Lowell campus on Monday, Aug. 8, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. EST. Olszowy and Sims will update attendees on organizational initiatives and activities and address important issues related to the building safety and fire prevention industry. All regional, state and local ICC Chapter Members and stakeholders are invited to attend and participate in the town hall meeting. The event also will be livestreamed on Facebook.
Following the town hall meeting, on Tuesday, Aug. 9, ICC representatives will attend the senior staff meeting at the Rhode Island Department of Administration before meeting with Connecticut Chapter Members and stakeholders later in the day. On Wednesday, Aug. 10, the ICC contingent will tour the Laborers' International Union of North America training facility in Pomfret Center, Conn., before attending the Connecticut Codes & Standards Committee where Olszowy will address the board and other stakeholders. ICC's Region VI tour will conclude Aug. 11-12 at the Firemen's Association of the State of New York convention in Albany, N.Y.
