ICC partners with NYSERDA to publish energy commentary |

| The International Code Council and the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) recently released the Code & Commentary to the Energy Conservation Construction Code of New York State, 2016 Edition. This comprehensive publication was developed to assist designers, builders, contractors and code administrators in understanding and meeting the energy efficiency goals of New York State.
"In addition to containing the complete set of energy code requirements, this valuable resource also incorporates state amendments, supplements and extensive code commentary into a single document," said International Code Council Executive Vice President and Director of Business Development Mark Johnson. "The convenience of multiple resources in a single publication will help code users better interpret and apply the latest provisions for energy conservation." The commentary is based on the Code Council's 2015 International Energy Conservation Code. It includes figures, tables and photos to deepen the understanding and consistent application of the Energy Conservation Code of New York State. NYSERDA funding allowed the new commentary to be distributed free of charge to jurisdictions across New York State. |
