ICC visits Capitol Hill to discuss resilience

International Code Council Vice President of Government Relations for Federal Activities Chris Ochoa spoke on Capitol Hill for an American National Standards Institute-sponsored forum on "Standards and 21st Century Infrastructure."
 
On July 17, the International Code Council's Vice President of Government Relations for Federal Activities Chris Ochoa spoke on Capitol Hill for an American National Standards Institute-sponsored forum on "Standards and 21st Century Infrastructure." The panel speakers, consisting of Ochoa as well as staff from the National Electrical Manufacturers Association and NuScale Power, discussed "Repairing and Replacing Aging Infrastructure: Focus on Resilience."

Ochoa focused on three areas in which the Code Council is making a difference to help communities become more resilient:

Other event participants included the National Fire Protection Association, ASTM International and Underwriters Laboratories. More than 50 people attended, including staff members from eight Congressional offices and several federal agencies.
