The International Code Council Board of Directors approved the Major Jurisdiction Committee's (MJC) suggested revisions to Council Policy 30 at its July 14 meeting. The MJC is now open to any of the following:

  • Representatives of state enforcement agencies.
  • Members representing the capital cities of each state.
  • Members from the two largest jurisdictions from each state (in addition to capital cities).
  • The capital city of a country.
  • Member representatives from communities with a population of 500,000 or more.
We look forward to more members and more communication. We invite any interested member of a jurisdiction that qualifies to be part of the MJC to enroll by going to the MJC website and clicking the "Enroll Now" button. If you are interested in serving on the MJC Steering Committee, please email mjc@iccsafe.org. Nominations and voting for the Steering Committee will take place at the MJC Annual Meeting on Sept 12.
