Volunteers are one of the most important assets of the International Code Council. Their work on the ICC board of directors, committees and councils is directly related to the success of ICC. It takes the time and expertise of many individuals working through the numerous ICC committees to shape the Code Council into the world-class membership organization that exists today. This "call for committee" provides another opportunity to serve.

ICC Codes & Standards Council
A single, multi-discipline council, the Codes & Standards Council (CSC) was established to advise the ICC board regarding applications for codes- and standards-related committees and to review and provide oversight of codes- and standards-related procedures — Council Policy 28 and Council Policy 12, respectively. Click here for Council Policy 9, which regulates the ICC councils.

The CSC utilizes staggered terms. At this time, ICC is receiving applications to fill five expired terms/vacancies effective Dec. 31. Current CSC members who are eligible for re-appointment whose term expires Dec. 31 must reapply to be considered. Codes & Standards Council members are appointed by the ICC board. The CSC typically conducts business via conference calls. However, if travel is required, ICC CAC members are authorized to travel at ICC's expense when participating at council meetings.
