Companion Tours

Tour 1—All Kansas City Has To Offer

You will depart this morning for Union Station. You will enter in to Union Station to view the current exhibit that is on display. The exhibits that come to Union Station are some of the best in the world. To give you an idea the current exhibit on display is Da Vinci The Exhibition. Following the group tour you will have time to walk around Union Station and take in the history and beauty.

Lunch will be hosted at Manny’s. A family owned and operated Mexican restaurant that has become a symbol of Kansas City.

Following lunch you will be transported to Crown Center.

Crown Center is home to the Hallmark Visitor Center. At the Hallmark Visitors Center you will be treated to exhibits from throughout Hallmark’s History. Peanuts, Snoopy & Hallmark; the infamous Hallmark Holiday Ornament Collection as well as items made specifically in celebration of Hallmark’s centennial.

Following the tour at the Hallmark Visitors Center you are invited to walk across the street and visit the Liberty Memorial. The Liberty Memorial is housed at the World War I Museum. The Museum is closed on Mondays, but there are statues and structures outside that you can look at and enjoy.

Tour 2—Around The World In One Day

You will depart the hotel this morning for a quick drive to Swope Park. Swope Park has 1,805 beautiful acres and is home to the Kansas City Zoo! You will have the morning to explore the world class Kansas City Zoo. You can explore Africa, Asia, Australia or visit the Penguins and Polar Bears!

Following your morning of adventure, you will load up the bus and head to Jack Stack Barbeque on the Country Club Plaza. Jack Stack Barbeque has been a Kansas City tradition since 1957.

After lunch you will be broken up in to teams of 2 for a scavenger hunt on the Country Club Plaza. Teams will be given clues to find Kansas City Icons on the Plaza and might be tasked with small challenges to receive their next clue!

Tuesday, October 18 | 9 am - 1 pm

Companion Breakfast & Art Experience

This morning you will depart for Art Experience. Art Experience is located in the heart of the Crossroads Art District and provides a unique creative environment that captures the artistic energy of Kansas City.

You will enjoy a casual breakfast at Art Experience.

Following breakfast, you will PAINT! A local artist will put together a picture specifically for this group to paint that will accommodate any skill level.

All supplies needed to paint will be provided. Refreshments will also be available while you paint.
