ICC-ES, ICC join IBS/KBIS for 2016 Design & Construction Week.

The ICC Evaluation Service (ICC-ES) and International Code Council (ICC) are supporting organizations of Design & Construction Week. The National Association of Home Builders and the National Kitchen & Bath Association will once again co-locate the NAHB International Builders' Show (IBS) and the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS), January 19-22, 2016, in Las Vegas. The third annual event is anticipated to draw more than 110,000 industry professionals in the largest residential design and construction exposition in the nation.

Members of ICC will enjoy discounted registration for the event, while the organization's leaders will participate in the Design & Construction Week Executive Roundtable to discuss issues and trends in the U.S. housing market and exchange ideas with other industry thought leaders.

ICC-ES issues ESR-3309 to Schletter for flush mount solar mounting systems.

ICC-ES has issued ESR-3309 to Schletter Inc., providing evidence their Flush Mount solar mounting systems comply with the requirements of the 2012 and 2009 International Building Code and the 2012 and 2009 International Residential Code. Read more.

ICC-ES hosts WFTAO 20th annual meeting.

ICC-ES was the 2015 host of the World Federation of Technical Assessment Organizations (WFTAO) 20th Annual Meeting held during the International Code Council's Annual Conference in Long Beach, Calif. WFTAO members represent organizations from around the world such as the Building Centre of Japan, National Standards Authority Ireland, Scientific and Technical Centre for Building, German Institute for Civil Engineering, Canadian Construction Materials Centre, Korea Conformity Laboratories, CertMark Australia, European Technical Approval, Agrement South Africa and ICC subsidiaries. ICC-ES and the International Accreditation Service gathered in a general assembly to share and discuss each organizations latest developments and updates.

ICC-ES PMG to offer free data submittal service to CEC.

The ICC-ES Plumbing, Mechanical and Fuel Gas Group (PMG) is offering a free data submittal service to current and new clients who transfer from other listing agencies to submit new water appliance data on their behalf to the California Energy Commission (CEC). Read more.

Hilti complies with new AC308 option for reinforcing bar evaluation.

ICC-ES revised two Hilti, Inc., Evaluation Reports (ESR-2322 and ESR-3187) to the new option of AC308: Acceptance Criteria for Post-installed Adhesive Anchors in Concrete Elements Table 3.8, which evaluates post-installed reinforcing bars for design equivalency to cast-in-place bars. Read more.

Wong appointed as technical staff lead for ICC-ES Listing Program.

Staff Engineer Danny Wong, P.E., was named Technical Staff Lead of the ICC-ES Building Products Listing Program. In this role, Wong will lead all technical activities and ensure timely evaluation of products with the high-quality standard that ICC-ES clients are accustomed to. Read more.
