ICC Preferred Providers renew their commitment to building safety training — expand educational opportunities.

ICC Preferred Providers continue their commitment to building safety training by renewing their annual membership and introducing additional online and onsite classroom-style training courses. "I was very excited about ICC's new Preferred Provider Program when it was first announced (November 2014). By becoming a preferred provider, our firm can now provide CEU's for clients that we couldn't before. The program has been very easy to use as we register classes. We look forward to continuing our partnership with ICC and the Preferred Provider Program," said Steve Thomas of Colorado Code Consulting, an Educator member of the program.

Starting January 1, 2016 and continuing through June 2016 a minimum of 40 percent of certification renewal CEUs must be obtained from Preferred Provider and/or ICC Training. On July 1, 2016, this minimum percentage will increase to 50 percent of certification renewal CEUs. In preparation for and support of these CEU requirements, Preferred Providers and ICC have made available an extensive number of training opportunities. Browse Preferred Provider Live Schedule of Courses to register for PP training and earn CEUs. For a complete listing of ICC Preferred Providers visit the PP Directory on the ICC PP website.

GR's Tom Allen a resource of information for ICC Members.

If you talk to Tom Allen, one thing becomes clear: not only does he know his history he lives it — in more ways than one. Allen comes from a long history of construction professionals, being a fourth generation carpenter and a third generation contractor, and when he wasn't making new things, he was re-creating old ones as a historical re-enactor of the Seminole War. He is also a big proponent of learning from history, as well. Read more.
